别的低级B级片往往只会拿“永生”当噱头，把电影拍成三流邪典，但《恶魔三角洲》的内核却足够硬核：电影并没有聚焦于“吸血鬼不死”的身体变化，而是聚焦于一个中年男人决定“报复社会”的精彩动机。Fred Williamson饰演的退伍军人介入调查，在热带丛林中发现被密封的金属舱体，舱壁渗出黏稠液体。它没有依赖特效炫技，而是把镜头对准了热带丛林与废弃营地的压抑氛围，通过Brendan Petrizzo特有的低预算叙事美学，将心理恐惧具象化。
