What you need you need to know about burning and using Soy Candles

Some benefits of Soy wax candles:
Non toxic and contains natural ingredients. The burning of paraffin wax emits toxic chemical.
Burns cleanly, 95% less soot than paraffin wax.
Easily cleans up with soap and water
Burns 25% - 50% longer than paraffin candles
Fragrances are released faster and longer, due to cooler burning.
Soy wax is derived from vegetables, rather than petroleum for paraffin wax.
Soy wax is a renewable, environmentally preferable alternative to replace non-renewable petroleum-based paraffin wax.
Cracks in the wax are a natural feature of soy candles as we use 100 % Soy wax.
Did you know that candles have a memory?
When you light your candle for the first time, make sure you burn it long enough to create a pool of wax across most of the diameter of the candle. By doing this it will REMEMBER to burn to the edge and not form a tunnel.
Don’t forget to keep the WICK TRIMMED to 8mm to stop it burning too hot. This can be done with sharp scissors or nail clippers
What if I spill my soy candle? How should I clean it up?
What has worked best for us ........ let the wax harden, scrape it off then clean up with very warm soapy water using a mild detergent.
Where should I burn my soy candle?
Always burn your candles on a steady heat resistant surface away from any drafts.
Do your soy candles come in pillars?
No, 100% soy wax cannot be made into Pillar Candles.
Why is there wax left on the side of the container?
Tunneling is the industry term used to describe a candle that has not achieved a full ‘melt pool.’ Tunneling typically occurs when the candle is placed in a drafty area, or the candle has been extinguished before a full 2-4 hour burn. Always allow your candle to burn to the edge of the container.
Are your candles "Triple Scented"?
No such thing - "Triple Scented" is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. We don't like gimmicks or misleading statements. The truth of the matter is, wax will only hold so much scent. No matter what the blend there is a maximum. Too much fragrance oil will not "soak up" in the wax, but rather rise to the top and make the entire candle (not just the wick) flammable. Very dangerous! So no, our candles are not "triple scented", but they do have the maximum amount of scent possible!
